Attending Classes With Us
Your dog must wear a collar and lead and have a legally compliant identification tag:
Training Aids
We use rewards-based training so make sure you bring a toy and some really tasty training treats. These should be your dog’s absolute favourite as the training class can be a distracting environment so what works at home might not be enough in class. Be prepared to feel that you are constantly feeding your dog initially as they learn the exercises – if you disagree with this type of training, this will not be the right class for you.
Please note that we do not permit the use of any potentially harsh corrective training aids such as choke chains, prong collars or e-collars. A martingale or half-check collar is permitted.
Clean up after yourself
Make sure that you bring a supply of poo bags. There are dog waste bins situated by the entrance to the carpark (left side of the fence) and on the entrance to the playing field.
The Training Environment
Our trainers do a fantastic job of providing a calm training environment. However, some dogs may still struggle to cope with this type of environment, with multiple dogs and people. If your dog suffers from anxiety, reactivity or aggression, we would strongly recommend speaking to a qualified behaviourist to help with these issues and advise whether your dog is suited to training classes.
